Fund Raising and Information Sharing Meeting

Residents United has always provided education and information to its members about the hazards posed by large scale industrial solar facilities on agricultural, residentially zoned  land.  On January 16th, at 7pm, we will host a fund raising,  informational meeting featuring our environmental attorney, Benjamin Wisniewski who will update us on the proposed Horseshoe Solar project and the Article 10 process.  We will ask you for  more funds to continue to employ Ben to protect the character of the Town of Rush. Bring your checkbooks, please.

Governor Cuomo has announced a goal of adding 3000MW of battery storage facilities for NYS's renewable energy sites like Horseshoe Solar. Battery storage is of grave concern to the residents. To help understand this concern R.U.S.H. has invited Mr. Charles Fendt to speak to us on large scale battery hazard potential for small-town first responders. Mr. Fendt is an Experienced Emergency Management Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the public safety industry. He is skilled in Crisis Management, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Intelligence, Public and private sectors and Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
